Course context: Dealing with uncontrolled anger is a transformative journey that can fundamentally change your life. When you learn to face this powerful emotion with self-awareness, you begin to uncover the underlying triggers and patterns of your reactions. Instead of allowing anger to control your actions and decisions, you practice recognizing it as a natural part of your emotional landscape. This acknowledgment is the first step towards understanding and managing your feelings more constructively.

Moreover, embracing self-kindness plays a crucial role in this process. By treating yourself with the same compassion you would offer a friend, you create a safe space to explore your emotions without judgment. This encourages you to approach your anger, rather than run from it, enabling you to process these feelings and ultimately change your life. Engaging in this honest self-reflection not only helps in mitigating anger's negative impacts but harnesses its positive aspects, promoting personal growth and emotional resilience.

Length of course: This coaching is a course of four online sessions with Rob, each an hour long. They can be spaced weekly or fortnightly.

What to expect: In the initial session we will have a conversation about your situation, and I'll start to develop an idea of the kind of activities that match your personality. In the next couple of sessions we'll look deeper at how anger is an important part of being human and how it can be harnessed - this will involve some information sharing, as well as a series of activities designed to connect you with your power. In the final session I'll help you to put together a plan to send you on your way towards a more empowered life.

Coaching encompasses the emotional, neurological, physiological and spiritual dimensions of our being. Whilst there have been proven to be many benefits to this approach, it is important to understand and consider that with any exploration of these dimensions and with any attempt at changing your situation, you may experience discomfort, disorientation, disillusionment and overwhelm, amongst other possibilities (please research the risks so that you are fully informed). Coaching may be triggering for you.

Within the coaching you will be invited to have difficult conversations, and to engage in exercises that may be challenging. You do not have to engage; it’s your choice.

It is important that you accept responsibility for your choices and actions, and only explore these dimensions within your ability and to the comfort/discomfort you feel is appropriate.

If you are unable to accept this responsibility, it is important that you do not pursue coaching with me.

If you have an organic or serious mental illness, and/or a primary diagnosis of learning disability, a coaching agreement is not appropriate.

If you have had traumatic events in your past that you haven’t yet processed, coaching may not be for you at present – do consider getting the opinion of a mental health professional before deciding.
